My Top Ten Books I Can't Believe I Haven't Read That Are Sitting On My Shelf

How many of you have purchased a book, excited to read it, and then it somehow takes up residence on your bookshelf, waiting to be read?  This happens to me way too often.  I'm a bit embarrassed by the length of time that some of these have been sitting on my shelves.

See any I should move up my TBR sooner rather than later?  Which books have you purchased in the past, yet never gotten around to reading?  Share in the comments! As always, be sure to check out The Broke and the Bookish for more details on this awesome weekly feature.

  4. Oh my gosh, I have so many books I haven't read but own. I should really try to tackle some of those books. I definitely recommend Cinder! I'm not even a science fiction fan, but I love that series!

  5. I just finished a book that had been sitting on my shelves since at least 2010... I'm the worst at reading what I buy. I liked Will Grayson, Will Grayson and Ask the Passengers, hope you enjoy them when you get around to them!

  7. Will Grayson Will Grayson is SO GOOD. And the audiobook is great, and I don't generally like audiobooks. And the sequel is forthcoming.

  9. I loved Cinder and I'm reading Fairest right now! The Lunar Chronicles series is AMAZING, soooo you really should get on that. Unless you are waiting for Winter to come out, then I commend you.

  11. I think you'd really, really enjoy Personal Effects, G! It's a very moving story, and I love that it's from the boy's perspective. Also, Cinder. GET ON THAT! :)

  12. I already said this on Twitter, but READ CINDER! The entire Lunar Chronicles series is amazing, and you definitely won't regret it. (Though you should probably wait until Winter is out so you can binge read!)

  15. I just borrowed Cinder, but I have like 5 other books out. (Book Holds Gods were unkind to me and make everything available at once with no renewal. Ugh!) Hopefully I can get to it too.

I also agree with Frannie about Forbidden. THAT BOOK!! It sure was something and to be honest, kinda hot.

  16. I have Mara Dyer on my shelf unread, too. I'd really like to read it this year. As for Cinder, its worth it, you should read it. I'm not familiar with any of the others. Hope you find time to read them soon.
