My Life After Now
WHAT NOW?

Lucy just had the worst week ever. Seriously, mega bad. And suddenly, it’s all too much—she wants out. Out of her house, out of her head, out of her life. She wants to be a whole new Lucy. So she does something the old Lucy would never dream of.

And now her life will never be the same. Now, how will she be able to have a boyfriend? What will she tell her friends? How will she face her family? Now, every moment is a precious gift. She never thought being positive could be so negative. But now, everything’s different…because now she’s living with HIV. [goodreads]

Wow. That book summary just grabbed me; especially with that last sentence. I am intrigued by this type of story because I have not read a lot of YA books dealing with a character who has HIV.  I am expecting this one to be very emotional and possibly eye opening.

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

  6. Wow this one sounds intense. I love books with issues and I haven't read anything with a character w/ HIV since I read It Happened to Nancy... which was pretty bad... I could definitely be in the market for something that covers the topic more realistically.
