In My Mailbox

I finally got around to spending my B&N gift card that my sis gave me for Christmas.  Ordering them online with my membership, I got free shipping & they all arrived within the week! Wahoo!  I do miss stepping foot in the bookstore though.  This may need to change this week :-)  I'm super excited to read Unearthly because I have heard such great things about this book!  I'm thinking Rhymes with Cupid will be a cute read for Valentines Day, & Vampire Crush just looked funny all around!  I am currently in the middle of reading Desires of the Dead, thanks to my amazing new bookish friend Maria from Cari Book Blogs.  She loaned me the book with strict instructions of taking care of it!  Don't worry Maria - it's in good hands ;-)

I also got a nice little surprise in my mailbox that I wasn't expecting (well I was - just not that soon!).  I have been in correspondence with author Claire LaZebnik about her upcoming YA novel due out this summer, Epic Fail.  She not only sent me that book, but she also sent me a copy of her latest novel If You Lived Here, You'd be Home Now.  I was introduced to her books a few years back, before I got in to YA, believe it or not.  So when I heard she was writing a YA book, I just had to get my hands on it!  Be on the look out for an author interview with her closer to the summer!  Thank you Claire!!

  18. Isn't that free shipping and free member expedited shipping just amazing from B&N? I ended up buying two box sets with my Christmas gift cards doing the same thing. But I'll agree, there's just something to much better about going into a bricks and mortar bookstore.

Great books this week! I'm totally jealous of Epic Fail.
