My Top Ten Authors On My Wishful YA Panel!

I have been blessed with opportunities to meet some of my favorite YA authors here in Texas at various book events.  I still can't believe I've had the pleasure of meeting authors such as Jenny Han, Jennifer Echols, Trish Doller, John Green, Jessi Kirby, Rainbow Rowell, and Laurie Halse Anderson (to name a few).  Each of these authors have had an influence in my literary life, and being able to meet them and tell them that = a dream come true.

So for this week's freebie top ten, I thought I'd put together a "wishful YA panel" that may or may not happen some day.  A girl can dream, right?!  If you've met any of these authors, or listened to them speak on a panel, please let me know!

Be sure to check out The Broke and the Bookish for more details on this awesome weekly feature.

  1. Now THAT is a panel I would love to attend. I've yet to meet an author but am hoping to get to a signing or panel someday soon!

  2. Melina Marchetta is pretty awesome. Have you read her Finnikin of the Rock? It's pretty awesome too. I'm dying to get my hands of We Were Liars.

  3. You're so lucky to meet so many authors. We definitely don't get many AT ALL in my part of the world. Great topic :)

  4. Oh my god this panel is perfection. The only one I've seen speak is E. Lockhart and I was too scared to say anything to her because high school me ADORED her books. I'm meeting Morgan Matson this week and a few others you listed and honestly I'll probably cry because I do that. (Also your graphics are really pretty!)

  7. What a fun topic idea! You've met some amazing authors :) I haven't met any of the authors on your wish list yet, but hopefully someday! It made my year to meet Rainbow Rowell last year- she is the sweetest! Hope that dream YA panel happens for you.

  9. I'd be invited to this panel, right? Because it sounds AMAZING. I've had the privilege of seeing a few of these authors speak before, but to put them all together would be pretty darn cool too.

  10. A panel with Robin Benway and E. Lockhart would be AWESOME. I love Audrey, Wait! and the Disreputable History.
