Now that Turkey Day is behind us, it's time to get in the Christmas spirit (if you aren't already!). I love this time of year for so many reasons. There's something so joyful about decorating, baking, gift giving & spending time with the ones you love that put a smile on my face & my heart.
During the month of December on the blog, each Thursday I'll be teaming up with Jen from Pop! Goes the Reader for a fun holiday feature. I can't wait to show you guys what we have planned, so be on the look out for that debut post next Thursday! I've got some great holiday reads to review & share with you all, as well as my annual end of the year lists, surveys & over all feelings about the books I've read this year.
In the meantime.. I started decorating my home for the holidays & wanted to share a bit of that with my lovely blog readers. I hope this Holiday season is kind to you all, and that you find the time to enjoy these festive moments -- they come & go way too fast these days, it seems like.
I was so excited to see your post today, Ginger! I've been preparing for Christmas ever since the end of Halloween and have slowly but surely been decorating the house over the last couple of weeks - When you have four trees and a household of decorations, it takes a little while to get it all done! :P Speaking of decorations, your pictures look lovely! I particularly love the lights highlighting your bookshelf, it looks so magical.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could possibly be more excited for our special December series of posts :) It was so much fun to brainstorm ideas and I can't wait to see what you've come up with! That does remind me, though - I need to send you a quick email as I've changed up the format of my posts a little. Hopefully I'll have a few minutes to do that after work tonight!

ReplyDeleteI've been mentally preparing myself for Christmas for a while now and I've been buying presents since then when I see things I know my friends would like. I love your holiday decorations, especially the bookcase with lights! It definitely gives it a warm holiday feel.

ReplyDeleteSince September, I've been forcing myself NOT to put up my Christmas lights or any other Christmas decor until December! It's been hard but finally December will very soon fall upon us and my urge to decorate my entire room with the Christmas theme will pass!

Oh it all looks so great. Not sure what I'll be doing blog wise for Christmas just yet. Have one readathon for a weekend early in December but other than that, not sure.
