An A to Z Bookish Survey!

I love surveys! Well, the fun kind anyway.  Jamie from The Perpetual Page-Turner has come up with this creative A to Z survey about all things bookish.  So of course I had to participate!  Check out her original post HERE, and if you want to join in the fun on your blog as well be sure to leave her a comment with the link to it (& me too!).

E-reader or Physical Book?
Physical book. Though I do love my e-reader for those quick, instant purchases.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
I would have wanted to date Grayson from Jennifer Echols' Such a Rush, but probably would have ended up with someone like Wesley from Kody Keplinger's The DUFF.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:
On the Island by Tracey Garvis Graves

Hidden Gem Book:
Harmonic Feedback by Tara Kelly

Important Moment in your Reading Life:
When I realized I wanted to become a teacher because of reading.

Just Finished:
The Sound by Sarah Alderson

Something that will scare the crap out of me. I'm a wuss & can't handle the scary stuff.

Longest Book You’ve Read:
Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead - 594 pages!

Major book hangover because of:
Recently: Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
This year: Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare - BEST ending to a series!

Endless Summer by Jennifer Echols

Preferred Place To Read:
Any place that's comfortable & quiet.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:
"And in that moment, I swear we were infinite." - Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower
"Because being part of him isn't just anything. It's kind of everything." - Melina Marchetta, Jellicoe Road
"The best discoveries always happened to the people who weren't looking for them." - Morgan Matson, Amy & Roger's Epic Detour

Reading Regret:
Not falling in love with books sooner.

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):
Unearthly by Cynthia Hand

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han

Unapologetic Fangirl For:
All things Jenny Han

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:
To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han -- are you seeing a trend here? lol

Worst Bookish Habit:
Purchasing books when I still have plenty at home to read!

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
(Since I'm not at home, I am looking at my goodreads shelf & choosing my 27th book read)
The Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg

Your latest book purchase:
The Sound by Sarah Alderson

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare -- and completely worth the lack of sleep!

  1. Ok where to begin?!

Your most read authors DO NOT SURPRISE ME.

I was going to put WSW down but then was like sigh I will just stick to like a series with more than two books. But now I feel guilty bc it really IS the best.

*looks for the Tara Kelly book at the library*

If I hadn't read SCS recently Jellicoe would have DEF been my answer.

That Amy and Roger quote <33 We used that for our wedding. It's so true of our situation.

YO finish the Unearthly series nowwww.

The fact that you have Attachments as an ALL TIME FAVE? Buying this today! I loved E&P and Fangirl as you well know so THIS seals the deal!

You WERE the fangirl who got me into Jenny Han!

Thanks for playing, love, and always being so super supportive! <3

  2. "Purchasing books when I still have plenty at home to read!" Oh, isn't that the case with us all? Haha, I know I've got MANY books on my shelves still waiting to be read. It's ridiculous.

  5. Dr. Pepper ♥ ! There are few things I've missed more since I gave up soda last year. Most of the time, I'm fine, but sometimes, a Dr. Pepper just makes life better.

I still haven't read On the Island yet, but I need to! I know Racquel (my co-blogger) loved it. And while I'm a little hesitant given the age gap, that's also a large part of the reason WHY I want to read it!

I love ALL THOSE QUOTES. When that line happened in Jellicoe Road, I think I went back and read it 20 times before I continued with the book. ♥

Ahhh, I NEED To All the Boys I've Loved IN MY LIFE. It just sounds so fantastic! And Jenny Han kind of rocked my world with her Summer trilogy.

Oh, Lonely Hearts Club! That was a cute one.

  6. Haha, I defiinitely buy books when I have a zillion others at hoe unread. Terrible habit, but it probably isn't going to change anytime soon.

I still haven't read Clockwork Princess. I'm terrified. I just know my emotions are going to be ALL OVER THE PLACE, and also, I'm sure there will be a book hangover afterwards. Actually, Clockwork Princess is one of those books I bought . . . and is not collecting dust on my shelf :(

  10. I'm glad I read On the Island as well. I wasn't sure based on the summary, but it was so good! I still need to finish the Unearthly series too...I liked the first book, but just haven't picked up Hallowed yet. I have got to read the Infernal Devices series soon! So many people love it! Great survey!

  11. Can't wait to read your thoughts on Covet! I was a huge On the Island fan, so hoping it is just as good! Also, yay for a fellow Dr. Pepper fan! Haha that's what I am drinking now while I am reading blog posts :)

Ooooh!!! I also LOVE your most read authors, all three of them. I have also read Endless Summer many, many times.
Also I totally feel you on the scary books thing. Just. Can't. Handle. Them.
I just posted my own answers on my blog :-)
