  1. This is an awesome idea, I love it! Summer is my favorite time to read and this year, I am not taking any summer classes so I will have more time to read for sure. My favorite "summer" book recently has been Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler. It made me laugh & cry.

Thanks for the giveaway and I look forward to participate in the summer-bookish posts :)

  2. This is such a lovely idea! I absolutely love reading in summer, preferably during vacation at the beach. ♥ And then it doesn't even matter too much what genre the books are as long as they're "happy" books. :) This summer I definitely want to re-read ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS, because I bet it'll be an awesome beach-read. Other than that I always loved reading Sophie Kinsella's books ( = cute Chick Lit ).

  3. I'd have to say my favorite summertime read would be the newest book in the Sarah Booth Delaney mystery series. I know it's Summer when they come out.

  4. I would say the Hunger Games is my go to summer read

  5. This is a wonderful idea, I'm always looking for more summer reads! My favourite would probably be any Sarah Dessen or Maureen Johnson books - even though I recommend them all year, something about them scream light, fun summer reads that are still filled with substance. I love grabbing Along For the Ride or 13 Little Blue Envelopes and reading it laying out in the sand. And even though I haven't had it for a summer yet, I definitely think Wanderlove by Kirsten Hubbard will be a go-to summer read.

Thank you for the giveaway, and I really look forward to these posts!

  38. Oh, man. This post just wants me to pack up a bag and some flip-flops and head to the beach! I read a little bit of everything; naturally lighter fare is more popular reading for the summer time, so I don't know what it says about me that when I think about it, I think the books I'd bring to the beach with me are A Song of Ice and Fire books! Not exactly light...but they'll make great headrests for when the sun makes me sleepy. : )
