Waiting on Wednesday {21}

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

by Tara Kelly (Oct. 25, 2011)

When privileged 17-year-old Jasmine gets kicked out of her house, she takes what is left of her savings and flees to Santa Cruz to pursue her dream of becoming a musician. Jasmine finds the ideal room in an oceanfront house, but needs to convince the three guys living there that she's the perfect roommate and lead guitarist for their industrial rock band, C-Side. Too bad she has major stage fright, and the cute bassist doesn't think a spoiled girl from over the hill can hack it.{taken from goodreads.com}

Just came across this book on goodreads & I thought it sounded fun.  I'm all about YA contemps mixing in music with their story lines.  Plus, I may or may not have a crush on a cute bassist from the band SafetySuit :P so that could have swayed my reasons for wanting to read this too.

What are you "waiting on" this Wednesday??

  2. Excellent WoW pick, G. Love the cover, and the premise sounds cool. And of course, you chose it based on sound judgment (hots for a bassist)...can't go wrong there!

    TEAM JEREMY!! (and yes, Alex in Delirium is much yummier as Jeremy!)

  8. I love reading about bandish stuff. My husband at one time had 7 guitars and a banjo plus all the other band equipment (he was in a band.) So music runs thick in this house...

    Not to mention I spent many days in Santa Cruz (I'm from Cali.)

    Music, beach, guys = a must!
