Hi there & welcome to my little piece of the book bloggers world! I'm always interested in knowing a little about the person behind the computer screen, so here's a few fun facts about myself:
- Born & raised in Texas! And no - I do not live on a farm, or wear cowgirl boots (but I do own a pair!). There's no place quite like Texas. I promise you we have the friendliest people here you'll ever meet. It's home to me in more ways than one.
- Besides reading, I enjoy discovering all types of music. I do not frequent concerts as much as I used to in my younger years. But I am happy to say that I saw Coldplay back in 2003, standing room only venue, up close & personal - and it was one of the best nights of my life! The moment that topped that experience? Hanging out with the guys of SafetySuit for an acoustic set. You can read all about THAT, right here.
- Traveling is something I enjoy & try to do as much as possible (when the bank account allows me to of course). A few of my favorite places that I've been lucky to visit are: California, New York, Chicago, Mexico, England, and Italy.
- I am in the midst of going back to school to become a middle school Language Arts/Reading teacher. Since I love books so much & sharing my passion for reading with others - I thought, why not make a career out of it? I just began this journey, but I am very much looking forward to the road ahead!
