Three's Company at GReads!

Since I began this book blog I've always enjoyed participating in Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. It's something I'll continue to do, but I wanted a separate place to feature the Adult books I am anxious to read in the coming months.  I will choose three books to feature each time this post comes around, every three months.  I look forward to sharing some Adult books I am eager to read and hope to put them on your radar as well.

LIVE (Burnside, #1) by Mary Ann Rivers
To be published: January 21, 2014 by Loveswept

Mary Ann Rivers kicks off a new contemporary romance series—sure to please readers of Ruthie Knox, Kristan Higgins, and Jill Shalvis—where love can be found unexpectedly.

If there’s an upside to unemployment, Destiny Burnside may have found it. Job searching at her local library in Lakefield, Ohio, gives her plenty of time to ogle the hottest man she has ever laid eyes on: the sexy wood-carver who’s restoring the building. But as the rejection letters pile up, Destiny finds an unexpected shoulder to cry on. With his rich Welsh accent, Hefin Thomas stirs Destiny so completely that, even though he’s leaving soon, she lets herself believe the memory of his scorching kisses will be enough.

Hefin can’t help but notice the slender, confident woman with ginger hair who returns each day, so hopeful and determined. So when the tears start to fall, his silence—penance for a failed marriage—finally cracks. Once he’s touched her, what Hefin wants is to take her back to Wales and hold her forever. But Destiny’s roots run too deep. What they both need is each other—to learn how to live and love again. [goodreads]

Let me know in the comments if any of these three sound like something you might read.  Since I'm a huge fangirl of the Lucky Harbor series, you know I'll be reading her latest when it comes out!

  1. These novels all sound great, but I think my favorite of the bunch is Sweet Talk Me. It sounds positively delightful and sweet! I love the fact that it's set in the South (!) and features an MC who's a country superstar (!!). We'll have to wait and see how their romance plays out, now won't we? ;)

  4. What a wonderful idea for a new feature, Ginger! I'm always saying I would like to read more adult fiction but rarely have the time to decide which, so hopefully this should help some. (Not that I need much encouragement when it comes to purchasing books or adding to my already-overwhelming to-be-read list) ;)

Mary Ann Rivers 'Live' sounds particularly promising and actually gave me chills when I first read the description. I pre-ordered it the instant I was finished with the synopsis and now I'm going to be counting down the days until the 21st and its release. It sounds exactly like the sort of book I enjoy, and I'm so thankful you introduced me to it!

  5. I was lucky enough to read early copies of Once in a Lifetime and Live, and I enjoyed both! Have you read the other Lucky Harbor books? Once in a Lifetime is probably my favorite of the series!
