Story Time with Little Ginger

I recently came across a folder my mom had kept of some of my school-age drawings, stories, awards and various certificates.  The best pieces were those I created in my early years of elementary school.  I was definitely the creative child who liked to write and draw.  I can remember being excited in Language Arts class when we had free writing time.  I would come up with stories I thought were amazing at the time, but clearly I was just an over imaginative child.  My teachers, as well as my parents always encouraged me though - regardless of what I came up with.  Perhaps they were planting a seed that would grow later in life when I rediscovered my passion for story-telling.

I thought some of these were too good not to share on the blog.  The following was created in 1988, when I was in the first grade.  Enjoy story time with Little Ginger!

My cover art skills are quite amazing, don't you think?

Clearly I loved pizza as a child and felt the need to write a story about it.

My spelling wasn't the best, but check out that illustration!

Every story book needs an ending page :)

  5. Oh my word! There is so much cuteness! The fish story was so adorable and I loved all the little drawings. Little Katelyn's drawings of people always looked like majorly deformed birds so I give you props for making your people actually look like people!
