A weekly feature hosted by me that showcases music - my other passion in life besides books! Each week I will post a new or old song in hopes to gain more interest. Help me in spreading the love of music!
Feel free to get involved with this feature by linking up at the bottom of this post, thanks!
This is one of those songs I loved when it was released back in 2009 and for whatever reason, it got lost on my playlists and I didn't listen to for awhile. When it randomly popped up on a local radio station I immediately fell back in love with it. This song is so unique to me because it's not your typical tune with a beginning, chorus, middle, and then repeat of the chorus until it fades out. Sometime After Midnight is played in a story-telling sort of way. It makes me want to read a book about this story!!! I even mentioned on twitter how fantastic that would be. We all know what it's like to have a run-in with those ex's that stir old emotions inside of us. This song beautifully portrays that.
*Don't forget next week begins BOOK PLAYLISTS for March's Special Edition of Tune in Tuesday. Pick which songs you'd think would make fantastic playlists for your favorite books. You can come up with your own, or pull songs from author's actual playlists. The choice is yours! I can't wait to listen to what everyone picks :)

I love this! Perfect description of the myriad of emotions that occur.
ReplyDeleteThe filming of this is great! I recently discovered a new artist which I've been listening to on YouTube because her music isn't available on iTunes in the US--Shy'm. She's a French singer and I adore her music. So upbeat.
ReplyDeleteWow. I'd love to read this story too! Some of the best songs out there are ones that tell a story or evoke different emotions and this totally does that. I'm looking forward to Playlists month, I love finding music for a book! :D
ReplyDeleteWahoo for The Airborne Toxic Event!
ReplyDeleteIf only my local radio station played awesome music...I really like this song :)
ReplyDeleteTwo thumbs up! Great pick Ginger!!! :D
ReplyDeleteThis is one of those bands I never list to as much as I should. I have a couple of their songs that make their rounds in my itunes, but it should definitely be more present! Great, great song!
ReplyDeleteAhh Such a good video :]
ReplyDeleteBook playlists! I am in for this one! :D
I love this band! My favourite is possibly the acoustic version of Innocence and Happiness is Overrated. I only discovered them recently-ish (through The Sims 3 which soon after murdered my laptop).
ReplyDeleteFantastic video. I haven't heard this song before, but loved it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ginger!
I love when I discover things in my Playlist that I haven't heard in a while and I remember how much I liked them and fall in love with them all over again.
ReplyDeleteNow, this song, I loved!
It's going right into my playlist, that guy's voice is amazing, so pleasant but powerful and it cans sound so awesomely raw.
:D
Thanks for introducing me to this band
OMG I have never heard this before but I love it. Thanks so much for sharing. I know what I will be listening to on spotify when I get home.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this song! I got to see Airborne Toxic Event live, at sunset, on my hometown beach last fall and they were AMAZING! After they finished playing the set the lead singer and a couple of the other band members all ran and jumped in the Gulf inviting the crowd to follow (many did.) I'll never forget it:)
ReplyDeleteI'm adding them to my Spotify playlist now! This is my first time hearing it, but I really like this song!
ReplyDeleteI totally forgot about this song! It reminds me of when I was staying with my sister in IN and my now husband (then 1 month dating) was back home in WA. I was staying up all night so we could talk and we were both watching VH1 music videos and this one came on.
ReplyDeleteGood times :]
This song is awesome. My mum, of all people, got me into The Airborne Toxic Event. Love their sound and this song, in particular, is awesome. :) Thanks!
