Tune in Tuesday {61}: Concert Edition!

A weekly feature hosted by me that showcases music - my other passion in life besides books! Each week I will post a new or old song in hopes to gain more interest. Help me in spreading the love of music!

Feel free to get involved with this feature by linking up at the bottom of this post, thanks!

This week concludes the special concert edition of Tune in Tuesday.  I've enjoyed sharing with you all my most favorite concerts I've been to, as well as future concerts I'd like to attend.  It's been interesting to read about all of your concert experiences who have linked-up each week, as well.

Since this is the last Tune in Tuesday of 2011, I thought I'd showcase my favorite concert I attended this year... as well as my most anticipated concerts of 2012.  Earlier in December (as most of you may know by now) I went to see The National perform in Austin.  I was front row (literally standing next to the stage) & had the best view of the entire show.  They played all of my favorite songs, even Mistaken For Strangers (which I was worried they might not do)... but it was THIS performance which closed the show & completely blew me away.

Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks - The National

As for which shows I'm most anticipating in 2012 -- two come to mind.  In March, I bought tickets to see The Naked and Famous, which I am so so so excited to see live!  The energy in their music is crazy & I can't wait to see it live.  I'm pretty sure I'll be that girl jumping around singing to all their songs.  Hopefully Jess & Jen won't mind ;-) haha.

Girls Like You - The Naked and Famous

And there's no way I can mention my most anticipated shows of 2012 & NOT mention these guys... yeah, you know the band ;-) & you've heard all about my free trip I won to see them ANYWHERE in the US.  As soon as their tour dates are released, this trip will be booked & I will probably pee my pants, haha.

Anywhere But Here - SafetySuit

  5. Oh goodness gracious Ginger, this post is so full of epicness! First a triple yes to all three songs you picked! You have made me a lover of all of these groups so that right there shows you exactly what I am talking about. The National concert sounded amazing especially being so close! As for the upcoming concerts, there is no doubt in my mind they will be awesome and I am sure everyone will completely understand if you are jumping around and singing like a fool. We've all been there a time or two (or 20 lol)
