When it comes to movie soundtracks, Garden State takes the cake. This is by far the BEST soundtrack, ever. Not only is this movie epically genius, brilliant, and insanely awesome - but it's got the most amazing music to accompany it. I remember sitting in the movie theater, watching it for the first time, and just simply being blown away by it all. I have a tendency to compare everything to this movie now (and not much even comes close). When someone asks, "what's your favorite movie?" My answer is always: Garden State. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and make it happen NOW. Then do yourself another favor and download the soundtrack. I could have listed all the tracks on it, but I went with this one. It holds a special place in my heart. Oh man I think I may need to watch the movie again, for the millionth time.

I can't believe I still haven't seen this movie! I wanted to see it so bad when it was in theatre, but had nobody to go with, then I almost bought it a million times back when I could afford to buy movies lol...my library doesn't have it, I'll have to see if they'll do an inter-library loan for me. Love this song!

ReplyDeleteThe Garden State soundtrack is amazing! I actually heard the soundtrack then saw the movie. Loved them both! I think we'll be seeing a lot of Garden State this month & I'm perfectly happy with that :-D
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched this movie before and I am almost certain I haven't listened to the soundtrack but I certainly trust your opinion completely so I am sure it is absolutely brilliant!

ReplyDeleteYou're right Garden State is one of the best soundtracks ever. And the movie? Oh, it's amazing. I own copies of both. Do you remember the first trailer for the movie? I remember sitting in the theater with my best friend when I first saw it - there were no words in it, just quick images and Frou Frou's Let Go. I have not seen this movie. might have to check it out.. I do love Frou Frou though. I found them from the smallville soundtrack, I later went on to buy this album. Def one of my fav songs by them. Now i'm wondering if they have anything new, I will have to look! :)

I have to admit, I never got that into Garden State when I watched it, but it's been a million years so might have to give it another go. I do love this song!

ReplyDeleteI loooooove this soundtrack - it's definitely one of my top 3 favourite soundtracks. I still have songs from it sprinkled throughout my playlists, especially the Shins, but I haven't watched the movie in a shamefully long time. I really need to dust off my copy and watch it soon.

I LOVE this song! I heard it on an AMV once a year or two back and I had it anywhere and everywhere I owned where I could put music in. There's a gorgeous cover of it by Boys Like Girls! It's not as brilliant as Frou Frou/Imogen Heap, but it's pretty good too!
