I had the amazing opportunity to meet some of my dearest book blogger friends this past weekend. Tara from Fiction Folio, Capillya from That Cover Girl, & Lindsi from Books, Sweets and Other Treats all made the trek to Houston, Texas!
Though the intention of their trip to my hometown was based around Teen Book Con, I was still very excited to finally meet each one of them & spend some face-to-face time. As much as the four of us talk on twitter, heytell, g-chat, texts, skype, email, & blogs - it was quite obvious we'd connect & get a long great. And that is exactly what happened.
For the past two days there was an endless amount of laughs, good food, books, dance parties, restaurant singing, author meetings, picture taking, more laughs, more good food, & memories that will last a lifetime! I've always held this book blogging community in a special place in my heart & these four girlies have proven how important that is to me.
I wish we all lived closer than a plane ride away. Can you imagine the amount of crazy shenanigans we would find ourselves in?!! It's amazing when you can connect with others who love books just as much as you do, but also find a deep & lasting friendship in that person as well. I can't wait til our next meet up!
Thank you Tara, Capillya, & Lindsi for coming to visit! Who's hometown is hosting the next bookish event so that we have an excuse to hang out again??!! ;-) Love you girlies. SO MUCH.
...that's what she said ;-)
